Concierge Psychotherapy is similar to concierge medicine, but for therapy. Just as some clients choose concierge primary care because they are tired of rushed 10-minute appointments with providers who barely know them, The Modern Insight offers concierge care for clients who want therapy to feel more discreet, continuous and deeply personalized.
This model was created as a response to high-volume therapy practices where care can feel fragmented or appointment-by-appointment.
Concierge clients receive reserved therapeutic space, priority scheduling and a steadier relationship designed for complex lives where privacy and continuity matter.

Traditional therapy is usually appointment-based. You schedule a session, attend the session, then schedule the next one. For many clients, that works well.
Concierge Psychotherapy is different. It is designed for clients who want therapy to feel more continuous, private and supported over time. Instead of starting from scratch each week or fitting into whatever appointment happens to be available, concierge clients have reserved therapeutic space, priority scheduling and a more structured relationship with the practice.
In simple terms:
Traditional therapy may be the right fit if you want standard weekly or biweekly sessions and do not need additional flexibility.
Concierge Psychotherapy may be the right fit if you have a demanding schedule, value discretion, prefer continuity and want a higher-touch model of care that does not feel rushed or fragmented.
It is not about receiving “more therapy” for the sake of more. It is about having a steadier structure for deeper work.

Concierge Psychotherapy may be a good fit if you have a demanding schedule, travel frequently or simply prefer a more personalized level of care. Many executives, professionals, business owners and individuals navigating significant life transitions appreciate the added flexibility and continuity it provides.
Membership includes four 50-minute psychotherapy sessions or two 90-minute sessions each month, priority scheduling, reserved appointment times, care coordination when appropriate and limited administrative check-ins during business hours. Additional services may be available as needed.
Determining which service is right for you starts with our consultation. And can be further explored during our intake session.

Getting started begins with scheduling a consultation. This allows us to determine clinical fit, discuss what brings you to therapy and consider which model of care may best support you, whether that is standard therapy or Concierge Psychotherapy. It also gives you a chance to get a feel for my approach and decide whether you feel comfortable beginning the work together.
If we decide to move forward, the next step is a 75-minute intake appointment. During the intake, we will review your history, current concerns, goals for therapy and begin developing a thoughtful plan for care.

Therapy is thoughtful, direct and deeply relational. I work from a person-centered and systemic perspective, which means I pay close attention to your lived experience while also looking at the relationships, patterns and life circumstances shaping what you are carrying. No one exists in isolation.
In individual therapy, I draw from CBT, DBT, MBCT, mindfulness and Transpersonal Psychology to help clients understand patterns, strengthen emotional regulation and create meaningful change. In couples therapy, I use Bowenian and Structural Family Systems perspectives alongside Gottman-informed tools to help partners understand their dynamics, reduce destructive conflict cycles and build healthier ways of relating.
My work balances the practical and the reflective. We may focus on skills, communication and behavior change. We may also explore meaning, identity, spirituality, grief, resilience and the deeper dimensions of human experience. Clients are welcome to bring their spiritual practices or traditions into therapy so those sources of strength do not have to be left at the door.

The Modern Insight is intentionally designed as a private-pay practice focused on quality over volume.
Rather than working within the limitations of insurance reimbursement, we maintain a smaller caseload to provide thoughtful, individualized care with greater scheduling flexibility and discretion.
-
No. The Modern Insight is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This approach allows therapy to remain focused on your goals while protecting your privacy and reducing administrative barriers.
Remaining private-pay allows therapy to be guided by your clinical needs rather than insurance requirements. It offers greater privacy, more flexibility in treatment and allows us to focus on meaningful progress instead of medical necessity reviews and reimbursement rules.
